Review
I have been using this product for more than a week now and I made sure I used it when I was out in the city a lot. I also used this sunscreen during the hottest days in Toronto. Let's, start with packaging. The sunscreen come in aerosol bottle that is curved at the top to allow for grip when spraying the sunscreen. The nozzle of the sunscreen is a lock and unlock top, with a simply twist left and right, this unlock and lock the bottle. Now, the texture and consistency. The texture of this sunscreen feel kind of a tackiness to it, but it smooth. The consistency is mist that is light. The sunscreen leaves your skin feeling smith, soft and moisturized. The spray mist of the sunscreen is very fine and it covers a lot of the skin. Now, the smell of the sunscreen. I do not smell the fresh clean scent, what I smell is a chemical like for the aerosol bottle. I wish I could say that it smell like fresh clean scent, but all I smell is chemical like scent, like when you spray hairspray. When, I did wearing this sunscreen, I sprayed myself in my room and my room was filled with some cast from the aerosol bottle. I suggest when you do purchase this sunscreen, you do so in well- ventilated room, cause my windows and door was open, but still my room was filled in a cast of sunscreen. Another cons, is that is make a mess in your room when your spray the sunscreen, it gets everywhere. Like, I said before the scent is not fresh and clean and when inhale, it taste so nasty! I know none of us purposefully spray in our mouth, but when you are spraying your body and you are breathing and you breathe in some of the sunscreen. Now, you when you spray the sunscreen it like a tacky kind oil like sunscreen and it stays like that the whole day, it does not dry to a matte finish. I would also say that once you spray you can feel that you have sunscreen on your body, so I do agree that is lightweight. I have not tested out the water resistance or resprayed after 2 hours, cause I was inside most of the time. I would recommend this sunscreen to everyone, it make apply so much easier and convenient than the lotion, but it all depends on your personal preference.
Pros
- lightweight
- aerosol bottle
- fine mist
- covers a large amount of skin
- lock and unlock nozzle - perfect for children safety
- smooth, soften and moisturizes skin
Cons
- fresh clean scent - does not smell like it all, smell like chemicals
- does not dry matte - the shine stays all day
- Very messy
Verdict
This Coppertone ClearySheer line is good affordable sunscreen that has a lot of options for face and body. Though, I did not try out the lotion for face. I do recommend this spray, just the perfect place to apply it.
