Hey Dolls and Gents,

So, it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. I thought it would be perfect to do some holiday look to lead us to Christmas day. I wanted to do a makeup look at different price ranges, but realized I mostly in the mid-range to the drugstore, so the first look is mostly drugstore products. If you would like to see how I got the look, then watch the video down below.

Hey Dolls and Gents,

It's officially December which means that the holidays are just around the corner. I got my hands on the latest collection from Colourpop which is with rawbeautykristi collection. Let's just say that the collection is amazing and I'm happy I got my hands on some items and I  am going a little old school and give y'all a review since I haven't in a while. Let's get started.

The collection was released on November 12 and it is a 10 piece collection.

SHIPPING TO CANADA

I placed my order on November 12 and it was shipped on November 17 from Los Angelos. I got the package on November 28. It took 11 days to get me from LA to Toronto during the pandemic, so that is not a bad time frame. I spent $60.84 and the duties and customs were prepaid, so I didn't have to pay it again when it got to Canada. They ship with DHL.

COLOURPOP X RAWBEAUTYKRISTI

The collection includes:

AT FOREST SIGHT PALETTE

The palette is a 12 shadow palette that represents Kristi's home state with the ultimate earthy, forest-toned palette. The palette retails for $20 USD. Here are the swatches:

Puffball - mid-tone yellow-brown
Chanterelle - matte muted marigold
Rainer - matte terracotta
Old Growth - matte muted warm pink
Evergreen - metallic olive
West Coast - metallic yellow gold
Homegrown - matte chocolate brown
Amanita - rich matte merlot (not to use near eyes)
Fiddlehead - matte olive
Emerald City - deep matte teal
PNW - matte navy
Let it Rain - matte black with copper pinpoints

This palette is amazing. The shadows are pigmentated and blends like a dream. There is some kickback from Chanterelle, but I'm not really bothered with that. Amanita is a pressed pigment and is not intended to use near the eye area. This hands down have to be one of the best colourpop palettes I have used to date.

Gone Foraging Super Shock Set

This set includes all four of the super shadow. I only picked up one of the super shock shadows. Each super shock shadow retails for $7 USD and the set retails for $28 USD.

Like a Moss (bottom left corner ) - metallic olive
Campfire (top right corner) - metallic orange with silver and gold pinpoints
Olympic (top left corner)  - cool ivory with silver pinpoints
Mycelium (bottom right corner) - pale gold with silver and gold pinpoints

I picked the Campfire and it is super pigmented and very glitter. It will be amazing on the lid, but the video I used as an inner corner highlight.

Into the Wood Gel Liner Set

The set includes the three creme gel liner in the collection. Each gel liner retails for $7  USD and the gel liner set retails is $21 USD. Here are the swatches:

Spare Thyme - matte forset green
Woodsy - mid-tone brown
Marigold - matte marigold

LUX Lip Gloss

The collection came with two lipgloss. Here are the swatches:

Wildflower - soft pinky nude
Glacier - icy ivory with silver pinpoints

These glosses are amazing. They are super sheer and they don't have a lot of pigment to them, they are the perfect gloss topper. It is not sticky on the lips at all and has a large doe-foot applicator. It smells like candy as well.

Alright, so now let's get to the video.

So, I thought I would do another makeup challenge since I like the last one and I wanted to challenge myself. So, the first letter challenge was created by NikkiTutorials. Basically, you are ONLY using brands with the first letter of your name. So, for me that is the letter 'M'. Also, a disclaimer, any Morphe products that are used, I bought prior before I decided to stop supporting them. I am not going to wasted my money on a product, I bought so yeah. Let's get started with this look.

Hey, Dolls and Gents,

I thought I would take time from posting due to what is going on in this world. With the death of George Floyd, there has been a spark for change in police brutality and systemic racism. We can all do something to help change the world we live in to have a better space for black lives. As a black woman, I deal with systemic racism for the 25 years of my life, even as a baby. I'm tried like Al Sharpton said, they have been standing on our necks for years and they thought they could pin us down, but we are standing and ready to fight, so we are able to breathe again.

If you are a non-black person, I hope you see that is injustice is wrong and it using your privilege to invoke some change. You can protest in the streets, but remember your mask or you can donate and sign petitions to change the system that was created to divide us not serve us all.

Now, let's get to the Sephora haul and what I spent my money on during the VIB sale.

I picked up a few items that I wanted to try out and everyone has been talking or has peak my interest.

The first thing, I picked up was the Makeup Forever Reboot Foundation. I was a little hesitant to try out this foundation because it was skincare and makeup combined, but I love this foundation. It is a buildable foundation that looks skin always. I have worn this foundation with 1 pump to get the most natural bare skin look. It also looks good when wearing for a long period of time, which is great.

Secondly, the beauty blender bounce airbrush whipped concealer in 4.40N. I have mixed feelings about this concealer. I don't know about anyone else, I felt a little burning and tingling sensation under my eyes. I don't know what that is about. The applicator looks interesting, its a doe tipped applicator with an angle. I have a lot of mixed feelings towards this product.

The next thing I picked up during the sale was the milk makeup hydro grip primer. I tried this primer last year and I knew I was going to purchase the full size, but never got around to it. But since I have a video coming and I need a primer, I thought why not get this - it is a good primer. I also picked up the Morphe glambronze bronzer in leader. I wanted to get this bronzer after I came back from my trip but when I went to Sephora, one of the beauty advisors suggested that bronzer wouldn't bronze me up - well, she lied, it does bronze me up. It a super huge bronzer, when is ever going to run out.

I decided to restock on a few old favourites during the sale. I picked the infamous Ole Henriksen Balancing Toner because my skin was being wild and I knew this would help clear up my skin. I also picked up another Clinique Dramatically Different Gel Moisturizer cause my other was literally done.  I picked MAC Eyebrow Styler in Stud because you can never have too many brow pencils and this is something I wanted to get for a while. I also picked up the new Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out cream blush in Fuego Flush. I was super excited to get this blush, I purchased this before watching the reviews and I was sad that the blush wasn't pigmented enough to use blush on dark skin, however, it makes an amazing cream blush on the skin, so it's a win-win.

I decided to try out some new brands for myself that I have never tried before. I got two items from Melt Cosmetics. I picked up the ultra matte eyeliner in molten, which is a deep brown liner that I wanted because it looks so natural.  I also picked up a blush in Cali Dream, which is describe as a warm coral. It didn't work for me at all. It literally was completely different from what I saw online and in person, I gave it to my sister. I also got Marc Jacobs Enaromerd Lip Gloss, which is Suga Suga and Pink Paradise in the set. I haven't tried any marc jacobs gloss and I hear a lot of good things about it, so hopefully, it's good.

The final thing I got was an eyeshadow palette - I know I don't need another one, but hey. I picked up the Morphe 35H Hot Artistry Palette. It is a nice combination of corals, blues, and gold. It's honestly a palette I wanted to pick up but I didn't know it fits me.

Hi, Dolls and Gents,

Today, I am bringing you a foundation review. Since we are all at home if we are not essentials workers and self-isolating, I thought I would do some foundation review or reviews in general since I try a lot of products but I literally do not review until I remember. Anyway, we are talking the Juvia's Place Shade Stick, so if you would like to know my thoughts, just keep on reading.

Okay, so here is what Juvia's Place claims are for the shade stick: "A full-coverage natural and radiant finish multipurpose foundation sticks. comes in 30 shades and long-lasting sticks. Formulated to feel like skin. A weightless multipurpose formula that glides on seamlessly to cover imperfections, while giving full definition to face. This full-coverage formula is infused with shea butter and oil-controlling ingredients to aid in a long-wear time while providing radiance to the skin. Paraben-free;phthalate-free; sulfate-free; gluten-free.

This foundation stick retails for $16 USD, and now on sale for $12 USD for 0.034 oz.

Now, let's start with the shade range. This foundation stick comes in 30 shades. I am the second to darkest shade in the range, which is Tunisia and it is described as deepest skin with neutral undertone. This shade has a neutral undertone- I couldn't tell because it seems warmer on my skin. I wish they included more shade in this range because it would be so much better. I have a few issues with the shade range. First, how I'm the second - I know I am dark skin, but for shade reference, I'm NARS Namibia, MAC NW55, MUFE R540. Their darkest shade is Congo, there is a lot of more shade that they could have add between Tunisia and Congo. Secondly, how they divide the colours in the 30 shade range is crazy.  There is 3 shade for deepest dark skin, 3 shades for deep dark skin, 6 shades for dark skin, 6 shades for tan skin, 6 shades for medium skin, 4 shades for light skin, and 2 shades for very light skin. The shade range would have worked better if they divide the colours better.

As you can in the photo above, I kept my routine the same. Using my primer - NYX angel veil, concealer - NARS natural radiant concealer in hazelnut, cream contour - Huda Beauty tantour in tan,  bronzer - Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk'r in Mocha Mami and setting powder - Laura Mericer Transculent Loose Powder.

Now, moving onto everything else. First, let's talk about the packaging. This foundation stick in a coral tube with the twist-up mechanism with the brand name written in gold on the side.

Next, consistency, blend-ability, finish and formula. The formula of the foundation stick is creamy but not too emollient and the consistency is a thin formula. The foundation stick blends out really well with both a foundation brush and a beauty blender. You get a fuller coverage with a brush rather than a beauty blender. Its long-lasting formula, which it did last long when I wore it for 15 hrs. The finish of the foundation is natural and radiant finish. I would say the foundation stick leans more on the natural finish than radiant.

Next, what is the coverage of the foundation? They claim the foundation stick to be full coverage but to honest it more of a medium to buildable coverage. If you want full coverage, you going to apply 2 layers on the skin to get the coverage you want. One thing that is good is that you can control the coverage you want.  It feels lightweight on the skin, which is good cause some foundation skin can feel heavy on the skin. There was some settling in my forehead and laugh line that is not too noticeable to others but I see them- maybe I need botox, nah black don't crack.

Next, how long does the foundation wear? This foundation claims the be oil-controlling, but when I did a wear test on this. My oils came through within four hours. Before quarantine, I wore this foundation for 15 hrs and my skin didn't look the best. I don't find it long-wearing at all. It is long-lasting because after 15 hrs my oils sat on my nose but it didn't break down the foundation.  It also transfers after wear, so just be aware of that. I would recommend your prep your skin properly according to your skin type.

Hi, Dolls and Gents,

In today's video,  I thought I would do a soft glam look but a springtime edition. As of recent, I have been inspired by colour and it seems like every look, I want to do, has a bold colour, so I am embracing that during this quarantine season. I guess since I have no way to dress up super nice and go out, I wanted to add colour in my makeup. Be on a lookout for more colourful looks coming your way. Let's get started with this tutorial.

WAT
Hey Dolls and Gents,

In today's post, I follow JLo's makeup artist tutorial he did on Tati's channel. This idea has been going around for a while and there now has been a wave of black girls doing this. I wanted to try to do this. This is not the first time I did this, I did it in my JLO concert GRWM.

I think I did a good job of following his tutorial and using what I have to recreate this look. It's going to be a long one, so grab a snack and sit tight. Hopefully, everyone is staying home to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Also, I would like to thank all the front line workers and essential workers who are working this pandemic. Alright, let's get started.
