Weekend Makeup : Summer Edition
Hello Dolls and Gents,
Does anyone have a makeup routine for the weekend? Well, I do. I have a go to look that I always create no matter the occasion. I would say that this look really focuses on having flawless face but also have the right products to create a look that with last through the heat and humidity during the summer months.
I personally think that every doll and gent has a look that is perfect for the weekend. We tend to go very light and minimal on the weekend and others many go heavy and glamorous, this is all depending on what you are feeling that weekend. All my products are drugstore, so you can definitely find these items in your local drugstore. I only have two high end product which you can find at Sephora.
Also, I forget to add a few products in my post pictures, but I will be discussing them in my post.
Let's get started....
Makeup Forever Skin Equalizer Step 1 Mattifying Primer
This primer is amazing at control my oily t-zone. It really has become one of my staple products in the summer and all time. I love how the primer almost has glue consistency to it and when you allow it to dry, it adheres to my foundation beautifully. It is still easy to blend out my foundation.
CoverGirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation in 320 Soft Sable
This foundation provides medium to full coverage. It has a matte finish and perfect for everyday use. It helps be create a flawless base for the rest of my makeup. This foundation almost gives me an airbrushed effect, which is weird to say but it does. It blends out beautifully.
Ruby Kisses Mineral Pressed Powder in Cognac
This powder is perfect for setting the face, but not adding to much coverage. It provides a sheer to light coverage on the face. This is the most important set when creating a flawless base. Make sure you set your foundation with a powder, so it will last longer through the heat and humidity.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony
This product is literally water and heat proof. My eyebrows will always be on fleek when using this product. This brow pomade provides the fullness and structure for a more dramatic brow, but with a light hand I can get a natural looking brow. I use the colour ebony which is perfect for anyone with black hair.
Wet n Wild MegaProtein Mascara
This mascara with L'Oreal Telescopic brush wand helps provide mw the length I need. This mascara is good at giving my lashes the lengthen that is need, but it does not give any volume. Because my lashes are naturally curled, I have to curl my lashes in a way that straighten them out to get the full effect. I flip the eyelash curler upside and curl my lashes.
Maybelline The Rocket Mascara
In conjunction with the Wet n Wild mascara, this mascara is perfect for adding volume and lots of lashes. I enjoy this mascara because it adds more volume to my lashes, but not a lot length. This is why I use it the wet n wild mascara and my eyelash curling trick to get the result I am looking for.
Jordana Blush in Cinnamon Spice
This blush is the perfect everyday blush. It is a warm reddish brown that is perfect for every season. It adds warmth to my skin, but also a hint of red. I use this blush on the regular. This being the first blush I own, I really enjoy and will continue to get more.
NYC Liquid Liner
This is the blackest liner and perfect for any beginner. It is literally the perfect drugstore eyeliner that I have ever owned. This liner apply with a glossy finish, but dries to a matter finish. The tip of the brush is not like other liquid brushes and it is a small rectangle that can come to a point to create the perfect wing.
Missy Lynn Palette
I just got this palette and I have been loving using it to create different looks. This palettes comes with six eye shadows and two baked highlights. I love using the Gold and Rose Gold highlight to compliment any look that I create. The shadows and highlighters are very pigmented and very blendable.
I hope you enjoyed my post. What is your weekend makeup routine? Let me know in the comment section, do not forget to share, +1'd, and comment down below.
