Hi Dolls and Gents,

It is almost been a month since I  last posted. I have been so busy with school and work that I have not had time to come on here and write something for you guys. I am always doing all my school work and my work. These next two weeks are my busiest weeks for school, so you may just get this post until I have finished my semester. Anyways, I am always tried at the end of the day, so as soon as I get home, I go to sleep. I am sorry about this not posting in the last three or four weeks.

Anyways, I have a lot of thing to be posting for you guys since the holidays are coming. I just want to let you guys know that I wouldn't be doing the holiday gift guide because I won't have any time and those post take a long time compile everything together, but I will share some of christmas shopping with you and do makeup tutorials. Other, then holiday post, I have a lot of makeup and skincare, especially skincare to post about, so hopefully I can do it before the year come to the end.

You are here because you want to hear my thoughts on the BECCA Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme in Mahogany. I have gotten many samples of this foundation because I love it so much. The coverage on this is crazy good. If you would like to know more of my thoughts, then keep on reading.

As many of you know, I did my Color IQ again and it recommend that I try this foundation in the Sienna, which was too light for my face and then I tried the shade before Mahogany which is Sandalwood, which was a tad to light for me, but I was able to make it work. Mahogany is literally my perfect shade. Mahogany is describe as a bronze chocolate with warm undertones.

Here are some details from Sephora :
What it is:
A full-coverage yet breathable liquid foundation enriched with high concentrations of pigment and water.

What it does:
Conceal imperfections, redness, hyperpigmentation, and uneven texture with this weightless liquid foundation. Ideal for any skin type, it is formulated with a balance of 21 percent pure pigment and 22 percent water, which work in synergy to completely soften the appearance of blemishes and uneven texture.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

What else you need to know:
For seamless application, apply one pump of cream to a well-hydrated face after moisturizer or primer is fully absorbed, using a brush to blend flawlessly. If you are between shades, choose the lighter shade because of the formula's high pigment concentration.

Thoughts

I love this foundation. When I first tried it out, I was shocked by the coverage of the foundation. It is FULL COVERAGE, nothing will be peeking through. It did not feel to heavy on my face, but I was aware that I was wearing foundation. It not as heavy as the Kat Von D, now that is heavy. Now, for the shade. When I first applied it, it look very red. I thought if I blend it out, it will looked better. Well, I was wrong. After blending it out with a buffing brush, I found that foundation was too red for me, however when I set with my powder, it wasn't really noticeable. This foundation wore beautifully on my face, my oils did not come through maybe the 5th or 6th hour, not completely sure , but it was good for be. I think this foundation will hold up better with my oil, if I use the BECCA Mattifying Primer. The consistency of this foundation is thick crème. A little goes a long way and it dries down to a semi-matte finish. This foundation is perfect for night out or a long day of things to do. I do not know how it will hold in the heat and humidity, but I think it will hold up well, but for too long. Also, this foundation can get cakey really fast, so if you have oily skin, I suggest just setting your face with a light dust of powder or just the parts you get oily. The foundation also transfer, so I recommend setting your face with a powder, again with a light dust of translucent powder.

Photos of the Wear of Foundation

I applied this foundation at noon and this how it look like before I started work.
This is the foundation after about 12 to 13 hours wear. My face is super oily and I am not shocked that it is. It help up better well.

Verdict

Overall, I love this foundation and I will be buying it in the future, but I am not crazy about the red undertone in the foundation. I love this foundation is full coverage, but I may need to try a different shade because it is way too red on my skin, which sucks. I am matched to this foundation again with my new Color IQ, so I will be trying that out and I will tell you about that later. I have tried the shade from my new Color IQ suggested and that shade was too light for my skin, which was Sienna. I tried the next shade down, which was Sandalwood, which work but it was a tad too light for me. Mahogany is a better shade match for me than the other two and I can correct the red undertone with my face powder or translucent powder. This foundation can be used for any skin type, just make sure you prep your skin well before you use this foundation.
