Last Minute Halloween Look | Barbie, Black Barbie

by - 1:30 PM

Hi, Dolls and Gents

Today is the last tutorial of my last minute Halloween makeup look. I am ending off this week with a classic and that is Barbie. I wanted to focus on the new diversity Barbies. My Barbie look was inspired by a black curvy barbie in the new Barbie Fashionistas Collection that I saw on Pinterest. I wanted to jazz up the eyes, so I did a cut-crease look.

I hope have enjoyed my last minute Halloween look. I am happy I did them and hey maybe next year, I will do this again.

Tutorial

  1. Prime and Set the eyelids. I used essence I Love Stage eyeshadow primer and blended it out with Real Techniques deluxe crease brush. I set the eyelids with Maybelline Fit Me Powder in 325 Cream Beige with Jessup Tapered Highlighter brush.
  2. Fill in your brows. I used ABH Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony on a BH Cosmetics Angled Brush #12 and cleaned up the brows with Real Techniques Detailer Brush with L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in Espresso.
  3. Apply a warm orange as a transition colour. I used NYX Graduate Palette (3rd row, 5th colour) on BH Cosmetics #6 Blending Brush above my crease.
  4. Apply a warm brown as a crease colour. I used NYX Graduate Palette (6th row, 2 colour) on a BH Cosmetics #7 Pointed Blending brush into my crease.
  5. Apply a purple shade on top of the previous crease colour.I used NYX Graduate Palette (7th row, 3rd colour) on a BH Cosmetics #7 Pointed Blending brush
  6. Apply a black shadow to cut the crease. Close your eyes and follow your natural line on your eyelid. Place the line above your crease to mimic Barbie's lids.I used Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, the shade Crave and Real Techniques Brow brush to apply my cut crease. I blended it out with BH Cosmetics #7 Pointed Blending brush. I blended and deepen crease until I got it as dark as I wanted.
  7. Cut crease with primer or concealer. I used my essence I Love Stage Primer and cut my crease with Real Techniques Detailer brush. I followed my natural crease when cutting it.
  8. Apply a bronze or orange copper shade on the lid.I used two shades in my NYX Graduate Palette,  the first shade (2nd row, 5th colour) and second shade (4th row, 5th colour) on an e.l.f eyeshadow brush and place it on the lid.
  9. Apply mascara and false lashes. I applied L'Oreal Lash Paradise mascara and the Ardell 110.
  10. Foundation + Concealer. I applied Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Cocoa on my Jessup Duo Fibre Brush. I concealed under my eyes, bridge of nose, forehead, and chin with L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in Toast and blended it out with a beauty blender.
  11. Set thou face. I set my highlighted areas with Maybelline Fit Me Powder in 325 Cream Beige with a Jessup Tapered Highlighter brush. I set the rest of my face with Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder in Dark with a  BH Cosmetics #1 Powder brush.
  12. Contour and Highlight. Taking Makeup Geek Scandal contour powder, lightly contour your face with an angled brush. I used the BH Cosmetics #5 Angled brush.
  13. Blush. I used a light pink shimmer brush from the NYX Graduate Palette(1st row,1st colour) using my Jessup Blush brush.
