Beauty Guide : Bronzers for Women of Colour

Being a women of colour, I tend to avoid certain makeup products because I believe that some products are not made for my skin tone. This is what I thought about bronzers, I wondered why do black people wear bronzer? We already have warmth in our skin, so do we really need it? Well, after a lot of research and reading I have come to a conclusion, YESSS, black people can wear bronzer, so why don't they?
Many black women and men do not wear bronzer because they believe that they are just adding another layer of brown that is not going to do anything for them. However, it really helps enhance your skin tone and bring warmth back to your skin tone again.
Now, I think the real issue is that many black women and men do not know how to choose the right bronzer shade. This creates barriers to try the products because after a while you will give up and that is exactly what I did.
When choosing your bronzer, remember these two things:
- Pick a colour that is one or two shades darker than your skin tone, NO MORE THAN TWO SHADES
- Go for sheer bronzers, do not use a matte bronzer it will make your skin look dirty
CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer

Yes, I agree with you. It so hard as a women of Colour to find bronzer. This is so helpful an a great place to start.
