When it comes to starting a makeup collection, people tend to believe that spend more money on certain products to build their collection. I believe there are some amazing high end makeup products, but if you don't have the budget, then there are some hidden gems in the drugstore that sometimes out beat the high end beauty products. To be honest, most of my makeup collection is from the drugstore, though I own a couple high end products. This post is going to be products that hidden gem in the drugstore that can help you being your drugstore starter kit. So, lets get started...

Maybelline Color Tattoos $6.96 



A cream gel based eyeshadow which can be used an eyeshadow primer, eyeshadow or eyeliner. This is a creamy, buildable and pigmented. Also, you can get the level of intensity that you may desire. 

Maybelline The Nudes Palette $12.96 



A nude palette that comes in a slim plastic palette with twelve shades of neutral eyeshadow shades in a blend of browns, gold, and beiges. Palette can  be broken down "looks" into quads, trios, or duos. There are a mix of satin, frost and matte shadows.  The shadows are velvety texture, fairly soft buttery texture and some shadows have strong pigmentation while others do not.

This liner is creamy and very pigmented which comes in a small glass pot with plastic lid. It applies creamy but sets to a matte finish. It last long enough.

This is multifunctional primer can be used for eyeshadow primer or base for concealer. This primer is a creamy texture that does not crease which is blendable and has natural matte finish.

This mascara lash comb bristles  literally combs every lash to perfection. The formula is in the thick side and has a little matte finish. It is also perfect from bottom lashes 

NYC Liquid Liner in Black $1.99


The liner brush is very fine with a long handle, the fine brushes makes it very versatile. The formula is not thick or thin. It is nice and fluidly, does not run all over the place. The liner dries to a matte finish, it is not waterproof. 

La Femme Blushes $3.50




These blushes are creamy, soft, super pigmented, easy to blend and last to about 12 hours. BEWARE: due to super pigmentation, use a light hand when applying this blush.
