Hello Dolls and Gents,

I know that the last couple of post have been surrounding Christmas holiday collections and I wanted to let you know the last one was posted last week and now I am going to be doing more reviews, tutorials and new stuff. I would like to thank you guys for reading my everyday fall makeup tutorial. I am always scared to post makeup tutorials, because I never know whether or not you guys are going to like or not.  I wanted to let you know, that is means a great deal to me and I hope you continue to check out my tutorials more. Also, I am going to be starting to do some holiday makeup look, some will be inspired by celebs and some with my creative imagination. I also want to start using lashes for my tutorial, so you are able to get the full effect of the look. Anyways, after this long talked, let's get back to what you actually came here for.

I'm starting a new series on my blog called Buy it or Leave it. I'm going to be review products that have gotten sample from Sephora, MAC or department stores. I thought this would be a good idea for myself and others, because we do not want to spend the money on a product that everyone loves that we hate. So, this series will allow me to do that, I will sample makeup and skincare, and let you know if I would buy it or leave it. This is the first post in the new series and I have more products coming for this series, so keep a look out for that. So no further messages, let's get into the post.

Thoughts

I LOVE this cleanser. I have been using the cleanser for about a week with my Clarisonic Mia. For myself, I have combination skin, however my t-zone is extremly oily and I tend to get acne and blemishes. So, I need a cleanser that would clean my face pretty well, but not be so drying on my face. This cleanser was able to deliver on the expectations I had for it. The first thing, I realized in Sephora sample was the cleanser is very creamy and it has little blue beads in it, which is good because it does make micro-tears on the surface of your skin. I used the sample both morning and night. It suggested to use a dime size, however I prefer a nickel size, because I don't feel my face get clean with a dime size. They also suggest they this cleanser is good at removing makeup, so I tested that out. I have to say that is not so good. It felt like I still had makeup on face and it was not properly cleaned. I think for me, it was because I use a dime size of the cleanser, so did not feel clean to me .This is the perfect morning cleanser for myself. I also love that the cleanser helps regulate the secretion of sebum in your skin, which helps if you skin break out. This cleanser makes your skin feel 'squeaky clean', but not to a point where your skin is strip of it natural oils. The only thing I don't like is the smell of cleanser, it has a weird smell. It reminds of a men's aftershave or something. This cleanser cost $34, which is a bit pricey, but I personally would rather spend more on good skin care products.

PROS:
  • Skin feel fresh, clean and soft
  • Small amount goes a long way
  • Controls oil secretion, keeps skin matte
  • Micro-pearls
  • Remove all traces of makeup

CONS:
  • Strong and weird fragrance (I have gotten use to it)

Verdict

Overall, I love this cleanser. It is perfect for combination and oily skin. I will be definitely be buying the full size in the near future.
