What is Your Skin Type?
Hello Dolls and Gents,
Okay, so I have decided to focus on a bit more on skincare this month because I wanted to start focusing on taking care of my skin now that I am getting older. This was key for me, when I turned 20! Now, I know some of you are thinking, you are only 20, your skin is kine now, and you know 'BLACK DON'T CRACK'. Yes, I am aware that I am 20 and 'black don't crack', but it is important to start early and prepare your skin for the future.
The most important thing of taking care of your skin, is knowing your true skin type. Many of us, do not know our skin type and we tend to guess and constantly change it. I know for me, personally, I always knew that I had oily/combination skin, I got my skin for my momma. People often believe that their skin can only be in one category, not true, your skin can have other characteristics from other skin types and it best to treat your skin in different parts, rather than a whole. What I mean is, if you have oily, dehydrate skin, you do not want to use only products that will strips all the moisture from your skin, you want to use products that will balance or control your oil and hydrate your skin.
It is important to know your skin type, so you can make the right choices when choosing your product. Different skin types are genetically determined, but it is important to chose the right skin care products for both your face and body to have good skin health.
TIP : IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIND YOUR SKIN TYPE, JUST BLOT A CLEAN TISSUE ON YOUR FACE IN THE MORNING, IT IS AN EASY WAY TO FIND OUT YOUR SKIN TYPE
Here are the five common skin types :
Hope that this was helpful to many of you. What is your skin type? Don't forget to comment, share and +1'd. See you in my next post.
