REVIEW | VICHY NORMADERM SKINCARE PROGRAM
Hi Dolls and Gents,
It is Thursday...that means the weekend is almost here. As many of you remember, I created a wishlist with all the skincare products I would love to try and I also stated in that posted I wanted to focus more on my skin and try to build a skincare routine that will help benefit and clear up my skin.
As a member of Chick Advisor Product Review Club, I got the opportunity to try out skincare products, but also tried out products from a company I have never tried before. I was sent the kit that is for acne-prone skin, which I do not have , but some of the ingredients in the products are good from combination oily skin.

Since, I reviewed these products from them on this site for the two weeks. I wanted to try it out a bit longer to review it on my blog to give you my thoughts on each products in the last four to five weeks. So, let's get started on my thoughts on this products.
Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel
Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel |
Okay, so this cleanser claims "deeply cleanses sebum and impurities without over drying or irritating the skin. Its ingredients have purifying, antibacterial and keratolytic actions to help prevent new imperfections from popping up". The cleanser is $19.95 for 200mL.
Now, what do I think. I don't know if I love the cleanser. It's kind of a weird situation. I always wanted a cleanser that cleanses my skin, but did not dry out skin. I tried the Purity cleanser and I was not fan of it. The cleanser does hold true to the claims that is does not dry out your skin, but I am not completely sure if is cleans the impurities. It does not have a strong scent to the cleanser, which is fine with me. I do not if the cleanser broke me out a bit or what, but a some blemishes on my face. The cleanser and the other products did help clear up my blemishes. It is the perfect everyday cleanser for any skin type. It is not harsh on the skin and it also removes makeup as well. However, you have to use a lot of cleanser to remove makeup, if you are lazy to use a makeup remover wipe or micellar water, like I am. It has a nice lather to it, it does not foam up too much, which is something that I love. I don't know if I would use this cleanser in the morning or night, but for myself I think it more of a morning cleanser for me. The cleanser also claimed to tighten pores and make skin less oily. Yeah, none of those things happened for me, but I am not upset about because there are other products that can help combat that. So, will I repurchase this cleanser again? Maybe, it all depends on how I feel when I completely done with cleanser. Would I recommend for people to try? Yes, if they are looking for a cleanser to cleanse their skin without drying it out.
Final Thoughts: It is a good cleanser. I do love that is does cleanse my skin without being drying, but I think that is the only thing I like about, other than that I feel like it has done anything to my skin to change and make super impressed. Maybe I need to try it a facial brush, like the Clarisonic or Vanity Planet Cleansing brushes.
Vichy Normaderm Pore Tightening Lotion
Vichy Normaderm Purifying Pore-Tightening Lotion |
My thoughts on this toner. I actually like this toner. This is the first toner I have used that has salicylic acid and glycolic acid, which helps your skin to acne, but exfoliates and removes the dead skin. The moisting interesting thing about this toner is it has alcohol in it. Any time i have used a tiner with alcohol in it, it tends to make my skin dry and super tight. Everyone know that if you have a toner and the first ingredient is alcohol, it is not going to be good for skin, especially oily and combination skin. There is a common myth that alcohol with help with oily and combination skin, but it really does is strips all the oils for your face and your face ends up producing more il cause you have strip it of everything. The toners has a nice smell, it is nothing to strong. When I apply this toner both day and night and I find that is kind hydrates my skin. The only thing that does not do for me, it is tightening my pores. To me, my pores looked the same and there is no difference. So, will I purchase this toner again? Definitely, I actually like this toner and it reminds me a lot of Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner. Would I recommend it to people to try? Yes, I think this toner is perfect for everyone, since it does not dry out the skin
Final Thoughts: I like toner a lot. I will purchasing this toner again in the future, maybe after trying some more toners and see if I would return to this toner. I do love this does not dry or tightening my skin and it hydrates my skin . The only thing is does nothing for tightening my pores.
Vichy Normaderm Corrective Anti-Acne Treatment 24 HR Hydrating Lotion
Vichy Normaderm Anti-Acne Treatment 24 HR Hydrating Lotion |
This anti-acne treatment "combine 1.5% salicylic acid, LHA, Phe Resorcinol and new Air Licium technology to treat and prevent all signs of acne". This anti-acne treatment retails for $29.95 for 50 mL.
Thoughts...I love this moisturizer so much. It really hydrates my skin and I want my daily moisturizer to do that. I am not completely sure on the anti-acne treatment. I found that it really did not do much for my blemishes. But, my skin did react to this moisturizer in the beginning of using it. I got a massive under the skin pimple, which are the worst and this lotion seems not to do anything for it. I had to use another acne treatment, that I mentioned in my current skincare routine post to help with the pimple on my nose and other blemishes on my face. After the pimple, was gone, the lotion did not break me out again, so I love it. I find that when you initially apply this lotion is has a tacky feel to it and when it completely dries, the tackiness is gone. That is another thing, the moisturizer really sinks into the skin quickly. I think that is why I love it so much, it sinks into my skin and leave skin feels hydrated, like my skin drink some water or something. I find that this moisturizer is light-weight on the skin, but you are still aware that you apply moisturizer on the face. The moisturizer smells like salicylic acid, which is too potent in the moisturizer, but yoy definitely smell it. Another thing, I notice is that is actually helps control oily. I find that my oils does not come through until the 4th hours, which is amazing from before, which is felt like is was less than a hour.
Final Thoughts: I love this moisturizer. I am most definitely going to purchase this again. I will try out other moisturizer, but for now this moisturizer is at the top with all the moisturizer I have tried. Again, it really does nothing for acne treatment, but it is amazing at hydrating, especially for combination oily skin.
I hope this review was helpful to many of you and you hopefully found products that interesting and you are excited to try out. I will come back in another four to six weeks and review DermaMD skincare products that I have been trying out. Be on a look out for that. I will see you in the next post.
