I had a job interview in Downtown Toronto, so after my interview I decided to go to Eaton Centre and find Sephora, so I can get more samples to try out. I went into Sephora want to try the CoverFX Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation. I already knew my colour, but I wanted to make sure that I was not going to get the wrong colour. So, I ask of the sale associate if I could get my Colour IQ done. I explained to them, I have already had it done before, but I just wanted to make sure. So, when the sales associates started taking photos of my skin, I realized she did it differently then when I got it done the first. Every single beauty blogger and YouTuber tells you to match your foundation to your neck and chest and I am telling you the same thing. The sales associate took photos of my two photos of my jaw line and one of neck. The first time I did it, they took three photos, one on my forehead, one on my cheek, and one on my neck. So, as the sales associate is waiting for the machine to calibrate my Colour IQ #, I see her type in #1R14. I was like what the heck, how the hell did my number change.

So, sales associate got me a sample of the CoverFX Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation in N110. I came home and I tried it out the next day and OMG, it matched me like a glove. It was the weirdest thing, because I thought I was #2R14 and sometimes I feel like the matches were to light for my face, but this matches perfectly. It did not look too dark at all. So, now I have a new Color IQ number and I think it is better match for me.

Now, how about your old matches to #2R14. You would be amazed that some of foundation samples, I tried some of them matched me perfectly. So, like I did in my first Color IQ post, I placed my results in Findation.com and some of the old matches were a part of my matches. I was reading online and one Sephora employee said that the Color IQ is a guideline to finding the right shade. So, keep that in mind. Though, so foundation shade will match you correctly, so maybe way off. Take with a grain of salt.

Here are the results when inputting my Color IQ in Findation.com (any yellow highlighted one are the matches I have from my old Color IQ #2R14 and orange highlighted is drugstore foundation; I will not be including the shade that I have tried and did not match me at all). 

So, now that my Color IQ number is different, I will continue to do my buy or leave it with my old Color IQ number and try out more foundation using the new Color IQ number, there may repeats of the same product, but just different shades, for example the BECCA Foundations and Clinique.
