Bold and Curly | New Crotchet Braids + Review

by - 2:35 PM

Hi Dolls and Gents,

In today's post, I am going to be talking about my new hair do. You have noticed that my hair looks really different. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something different.

The hair that I currently have in is crochet braids using the Urban Soft Dread from Freetress Equal. I usually always go for black or off black when I do my hair because I like to play it safe and it is easier for me. But, I wanted to do something bold and different, so I did this.

I needed a quick hairstyle to hold me over until September because my cousin's wedding is coming up and I didn't want to pay twice for my hair, so I decided that crotchet braids would be easier and cheaper for me to do.

CROTCHET BRAIDS PROCESS

Finished Look with Snapchat filter

I braided my hair into cornrows. I braided about six to eight braids in the front with a side part and connected all to four big braids at the back of my head. I used 4 pack of hair and because I  was unravelling it I  knew that the curly hair would cover and I did not need to fill it up. It took about 2-3 hours to do. It took me a while to start and braid my hair in cornrows. My braids are not the neatest braids. After I finished installing the hair, I started to un ravel each dread to get the look I wanted.

MAINTAINING THE HAIR

I never do curly hair because I know I suck at maintaining it. For this hair do, I do use a water and conditioner. I use them both to untangled, separated, and add moisture to the hair because it starts to look dull. That is about it.

WILL I DO THIS STYLE AGAIN?

Yes, I would do this style again. The only thing I would do it get someone to braid my cornrows for me, so it will last a bit longer.

I  hope you enjoyed this quick mini review on the hair that I currently have. I hope you learned something. If you like to me to do more hair review, please comment down below, share and follow the blog.
