Hi, Dolls and Gents

I wanted to recreate the look that I created for my 23rd birthday. I wanted to do something different, so I created a purple-brown gold smokey eye. I don't know, what to call it but it turned out beautifully. I wanted to do a twist on a look that I create so often.

I used some new products to create this look. I hauled some of these items in my last post, check it out. Now, let’s get on to the look.

  1. Prime face. I primed my face with the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer.
  2. Fill in your brows. I filled in my brows with ABH Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony with a BH Angled brush.
  3. Set primer down. I set my primer with my Laura Mercier Transculent Medium Deep Powder on a beauty blender in my t-zone.
Moving on to the eye look
  1. Prime eyelids. I used the L.A Girl Pro Concealer in Espresso to prime my eyes and set with the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder.
  2. Going into the Just Peachy Palette, I went into Peach Punch with a BH Blending brush as my transition colour.
  3. Going back to the Just Peachy Palette, I went into Just Ripe on the Jessup small Tapered Blending brush and applied it to the outer corner of the eyes and drag a bit into the crease.
  4. Going back to the ABH Subculture palette, I went into Rowdy with the same Jessup brush to further deepen the outer corner and drag a bit into the crease.
  5. Going back to the Just Peachy palette, I went into Chocolate Dipped on the same Jessup Blending brush to further deepen the outer corner. I didn’t apply a lot of this colour because I wanted the dark purple to be the main focus.
  6. For the lid colour, I applied Tarte Chrome Shadow Pot in Park Ave. Princess as a base for my lid colour. I went back into the ABH Subculture palette and applied Adorn on a damp BH Flat brush and applied it on top.
  7. For mascara and lashes, I applied the Maybelline Big Shot mascara in Very Black and applies RD Beauty Lashes in Kuwait.
Moving back to the face.
  1. Foundation. I applied the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Foundation in 460 with a beauty blender to the entire face.
  2. Highlight. I applied L.A Girl ProConceal in Fawn under my eyes, bridge of the nose, Cupid’s bow and chin and blended it out with a beauty blender.
  3. Set the under eyes. I set all my highlighted areas with the Laura Mercier Transculent Medium Dark Powder.
  4. Cream Contour. I went into ABH Cream Contour Kit in Deep with shade Rich Earth on a Jessup Duo Fiber brush and contour the hollow of my cheeks, jawline, and the temples of the forehead.
  5. Set the face. I set the rest of my face with Black Opal Soft Velvet True Color in Deep with a beauty blender.
  6. Contour, Blush and Highlight. I used the ABH Blush Kit in Gradient. I applied Dusk on a BH Angled brush to my hollow of cheeks, jawline, and forehead. I mixed  Chocolate and Blackberry on my Jessup blush brush and applied it to my cheeks. For highlight, I highlight the high points with Dose of Colors Mírame highlighter with Real Techniques Setting brush.
  7. Set the face with setting spray. I used Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.
Now, to the lip colour
  1. I applied Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick in Crimson.
Here is the finished look...

I hope that you enjoyed the look that I created this makeup look. I wanted to share my birthday look. I will be posting hopefully more frequently, but don't forget to comment, share and follow my blog. I want to get to 100 or more by the end of the year.
