Sephora VIB Haul 2020 | SPENDING ALL MY MONEY

by - 1:00 PM

Hey, Dolls and Gents,

I thought I would take time from posting due to what is going on in this world. With the death of George Floyd, there has been a spark for change in police brutality and systemic racism. We can all do something to help change the world we live in to have a better space for black lives. As a black woman, I deal with systemic racism for the 25 years of my life, even as a baby. I'm tried like Al Sharpton said, they have been standing on our necks for years and they thought they could pin us down, but we are standing and ready to fight, so we are able to breathe again.

If you are a non-black person, I hope you see that is injustice is wrong and it using your privilege to invoke some change. You can protest in the streets, but remember your mask or you can donate and sign petitions to change the system that was created to divide us not serve us all.

Now, let's get to the Sephora haul and what I spent my money on during the VIB sale.

I picked up a few items that I wanted to try out and everyone has been talking or has peak my interest.

The first thing, I picked up was the Makeup Forever Reboot Foundation. I was a little hesitant to try out this foundation because it was skincare and makeup combined, but I love this foundation. It is a buildable foundation that looks skin always. I have worn this foundation with 1 pump to get the most natural bare skin look. It also looks good when wearing for a long period of time, which is great.

Secondly, the beauty blender bounce airbrush whipped concealer in 4.40N. I have mixed feelings about this concealer. I don't know about anyone else, I felt a little burning and tingling sensation under my eyes. I don't know what that is about. The applicator looks interesting, its a doe tipped applicator with an angle. I have a lot of mixed feelings towards this product.

The next thing I picked up during the sale was the milk makeup hydro grip primer. I tried this primer last year and I knew I was going to purchase the full size, but never got around to it. But since I have a video coming and I need a primer, I thought why not get this - it is a good primer. I also picked up the Morphe glambronze bronzer in leader. I wanted to get this bronzer after I came back from my trip but when I went to Sephora, one of the beauty advisors suggested that bronzer wouldn't bronze me up - well, she lied, it does bronze me up. It a super huge bronzer, when is ever going to run out.

I decided to restock on a few old favourites during the sale. I picked the infamous Ole Henriksen Balancing Toner because my skin was being wild and I knew this would help clear up my skin. I also picked up another Clinique Dramatically Different Gel Moisturizer cause my other was literally done.  I picked MAC Eyebrow Styler in Stud because you can never have too many brow pencils and this is something I wanted to get for a while. I also picked up the new Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out cream blush in Fuego Flush. I was super excited to get this blush, I purchased this before watching the reviews and I was sad that the blush wasn't pigmented enough to use blush on dark skin, however, it makes an amazing cream blush on the skin, so it's a win-win.

I decided to try out some new brands for myself that I have never tried before. I got two items from Melt Cosmetics. I picked up the ultra matte eyeliner in molten, which is a deep brown liner that I wanted because it looks so natural.  I also picked up a blush in Cali Dream, which is describe as a warm coral. It didn't work for me at all. It literally was completely different from what I saw online and in person, I gave it to my sister. I also got Marc Jacobs Enaromerd Lip Gloss, which is Suga Suga and Pink Paradise in the set. I haven't tried any marc jacobs gloss and I hear a lot of good things about it, so hopefully, it's good.

The final thing I got was an eyeshadow palette - I know I don't need another one, but hey. I picked up the Morphe 35H Hot Artistry Palette. It is a nice combination of corals, blues, and gold. It's honestly a palette I wanted to pick up but I didn't know it fits me.
