A few things that we all hate is waking up with an nasty unwanted blemish on our face.
This happens when once a month, when mother nature decides to drop by for me.
This why they created the concealer. For years, concealer are used to hide any flaws
or imperfections or problem areas. The concealer has advanced over the past years and it is
able to cover anything and everything from zits to dark circle to tattoos, as well
highlighting cheekbones and eyes. 

Concealers not only come in skin tone shade, but they come in different colours (green,
purple, pink, yellow, white, etc.). Each shade focuses on a specific issues that it is best
 suited to conceal. If you a lot of spots on your face the struggle is real, this is why

Concealer Basis: The Colour Wheel 

To master the art of concealer, you have to have a basic understanding of colour correction.
So, yes makeup is art. Do you remember learning about the colour wheel as a young child,
way back in the day. Well, now we are going to learn how colours cancels the other out.

When looking at the colour wheel, we see that red is directly across green. Well, the colour
green is what will neutralize the colour red, this is why people use green concealer to cover
up acne or blemishes. Looking at the colour wheel, you have a better understanding of what
colour cancels out each other to make the problem vanish. Now, let move on and look what
the other colour do.

Green Concealers: As I mentioned above, the colour green neutralizes the colour red, this is
why green concealers are great of getting rid of redness on your face. Using a green concealer
to spot conceal removes the redness from any zit or acne scars. If you have a lot of redness in
your face (rosacea, windburn or sunburn), then this colour correcting green primer will be the
best as reducing redness and give an even toned for a flawless foundation application.

Try these: 

Purple Concealers: the colour purple is best suited from eliminating any unwanted yellow undertones in your skin. People with dull, pasty, yellow complexion loves a purple concealer or primer because it provides a beautiful glow to the face. When looking at the colour wheel, purple is directly across yellow. To remove any unwanted yellow undertones in your face, consider using  a colour correcting primer or use purple concealer to spot conceal any yellow spots

Try these: 

Pink: So, first off the concealer is not really pink, it more a salmon or peach colour. This is perfect for brightening around the eyes and masking any signs of fatigue. The concealer colour is a mix of red, orange and yellow hues, that is across the blue, purple, and green hues on the colour wheel. This is why it is perfect for combating dark under eye circle. Because it is great brightening agent, it also covers raccoon eyes and gives olive toned skin much more radiance.

Try these: 

Yellow: the colour yellow is perfect for hiding purple or blue bruises, veins, and under eye circles, looking at the colour there is no surprise yellow is right across from purple on the color wheel. Usually, yellow concealers are the most general, and are great for evening out skin tone to give a bright base for your foundation. Depending on skin tone, they can also be a perfect as an eyeshadow base if you don't have an eye primer handy.

Try these:

Orange: The colour orange is for lighter skin tones, to stay away from and is  perfect for darker skin tones looking to hide dark circles or other spots with deep discoloration. The only exception is if you are doing facial contouring and need something that can work as a liquid bronzer.

Try these:

White: can be intimidating if you're not sure how to properly use them. Use white concealers for highlighting areas on your face. For instance, when you’re highlighting and contouring your cheek bones, dab a little on your upper cheek bones, right under your eyes, blending outward towards your ears. Also use this in the inner and outer corners of the eyes to appear more awake, under your brow bone for a subtle brow highlight, down the middle of your nose and in your cupid’s bow for a perfectly highlighted face.

Try these:

Neutral: if you're one of the lucky ones that doesn’t have too many problem areas to hide, this will work fine for you. Any regular concealer should work to veil little imperfections or the occasional pimple. Just choose a shade similar to your skin tone, or one shade lighter, and you're all set. This is also the best kind of concealer to use as a primer for making your lipstick last all day and night.
