First off, today is the first day  of school for most students here in Canada. My first back to school is tomorrow, I hope everyone enjoyed their first day back to school around the world and I wish you all the best.

Anyway, let's get back to why we are really here. If you have been reading my blog from the beginning, you know that my favorite brow product is the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony. It is literally in every tutorial and face of the day posts. Now, you wondering when did you get into doing your brows.

If you must know, my brows was the first thing I learned when I truly got into makeup and that was in 2011. I started watching YouTube videos on brow tutorial to master my brow game. I use to go to school with my eyebrows done without any foundation, concealer, powder and anything else that I am missing. I literally had the definition of halo eyebrows, the concealer I use was really a foundation that was about four shades lighter than me.

Now, I typically never jump onto bandwagon when a product is first released because I don't have funds to purchase that product at the moment and I don't want to fall into the hype until I read good reviews of that product. I had heard of Anastasia Beverly Hills and how she literally the queen of brows, but I had never tried any of her product until last year.

I purchased the Dipbrow Pomade when I was school during my second year. The reason I got it was because I had a $25 dollar gift card and a Sephora open in St. Catharines in the closest mall to me. Before going to purchase this product, I saw a lot of women of colour using chocolate or dark brown to fill in their brows, so I thought I should chose one of those colours. When I went to Sephora and they recommend I get the colour ebony instead, and it had been loved ever since.

Anastasia Beverly Hills released 11 shades for the Dipbrow Pomade. This Dipbrow Pomade is a waterproof, sweatproof, humid-proof , smudge-proof eyebrow gel that is perfect for creating sculpted and defined brows.

This Dipbrow Pomade comes in a small glass container with a golden 'A' on the lid. The bottom of the container has the name of the product, colour, and weight. This glass container does not break easily, cause I have dropped it before.

Texture and Consistency

The texture of this product is smooth and easy to work with. The consistency of the product is that it is super creamy and highly pigmented. A little does really go a long way. They glide on, they are easy to blend before they set. There is enough time to work with this product before it sets into place. My favorite brush to use with this product is my Essence Gel Liner brush, it is a small angled brush which is perfect for applying this product.

Application

For application, I start by picking some product on my Essence Gel Liner brush and taking the rest of the product on my brush on the inside of the lid, so I do not have too much product. I start by making a line under my brow and then going back to the lid to pick more product and make a line above my brows. Once the outline is done, I take rest of the product on my brush and I use it to fill in my brows. Once I am doing filling in my brows, I take a spoolie and brush through my brows. I clean and sculpt my brows with concealer, this is optional.

Verdict

I love this product and I would say it is definitely worth the hype. I would repurchase this product again and again, because I love how it creates such a defined brows but also a natural looking brows. I have tip, if you are buying this product, make sure it is tightly closed when you are done using it, so it does not dry out. Plus, if you store it upside down it will prevent it from drying out.
