Urban Decay Naked Basics
Hello Dolls and Gents,
Okay, so you know
everyone jumps on the Urban Decay bandwagon. Everyone and their mama owns one
of the Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes. The Original Naked Palette is popular
item and a lot of people wanted a matter version of the Naked 1 palette, so
Urban Decay listen and deliver the Naked Basics.
Now, I fell into the
hype about the Urban Decay shadow. So, I bought the basics palette one to two
years ago as birthday gift to myself, though I didn't really pay for it because
I got Sephora gift cards for my birthday, so I decided to buy it.
Urban Decay Naked
Basics Eyeshadow Palette contains six full sized eyeshadows from a pale beige
to black, and each eyeshadow is 0.5 oz and
the finish is all matte. This palette is available at Sephora for $34 and the Urban Decay site for $34.
The quality of the shadows is incredibly pigmented. The texture of these eyeshadows are silky, smooth, finely
milled. You would think because it is smooth and finely milled, it would be
powdery, but is not even powdery at all. They are pigmented and true to colour
payoff in the pay. This palette is perfect
for any beginners or busy mom who wants a simple eyeshadow palette that
has the basic neutral shadows. If you are a fan of neutral palette, like I am,
you are going to love it. The size of the palette is also a plus, the palette
is small, minimalist and perfect for travelling. The packaging of the palette has a rubberized
feeling to it, which reminds me of NARS
packaging that everyone talk about. Now, the shadow that are in this palette
are
Venus is a
white-shimmery creamy white. It is not a frost completely, but more of a satin
finish. This is perfect for brow bone highlight
and the perfect neutral lid colour for my dark skin tone. It add a bit
of a skin against any skin tone..
Foxy is a yellow
beige with a matte finish. This is my go to shade lid colour for a neutral glam
look. It can also be the perfect brow bone highlight for any skin tone
Walk of Shame is a
pink beige with a matte finish. This colour is perfect a lid colour or even
brown bone highlight for any skin tome. I usually mix this and foxy together and apply it on my lid.
Naked 2 is a soft
taupe with a little brown and gray with a matte finish. This eyeshadow is
perfect as a transition colour or
deepening the crease. I usually use it
for deepening my crease before going in with a darker
colour.
Faint is a
medium-dark brown with a hint of warm and a matte finish. This colour is
perfect at my transition colour because it almost matches my skin tone, but it
is slightly lighter. This colour would be perfect for deepening crease as well, for my light
skin tone girls and guys.
Crave is a dark
black with brown undertones and a matter
finish. This is the darkest black I have in my collection right now. It is the
perfect colour to create smoky eye and cut crease.

Verdict
I love this palette
and I recommended that everyone go and try it out. It is the perfect neutral
palette for a beginner, busy mom, college/university student and etc. I think
that it is worth $34 and I will definitely buy it again. Though, I do not use
this everyday, it is the perfect palette to create your natural everyday
look.
