I love DIY, especially when I am saving money on an item that I can make myself. From the title above, you know that I am talking about the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. More Information...

100% Witch Hazel - The witch hazel found at most drugstores contains 14% alcohol, you do not want to use this because it will dry out the skin. It’s best to get 100% pure witch hazel online or you can also use an alcohol free toner, which they have at most drugstores.

100% Glycerin - Pure glycerin are sold in the skincare aisle of most drugstores, you can also get it online. You are looking for vegetable glycerin.

Distilled Water - Distilled Water are sold in any drugstore or grocery store in the water aisle, since distilled water is filtered of all bacteria and contaminants it will help our DIY last longer.

Can I modify this to my skin type?

Yes, you can modify this primer water to fit your skin type:

Dry/Aging Skin - Add 1 additional teaspoon of glycerin and/or you can add a ½ teaspoon of a serum moisturizer such as hyaluronic acid

Acne Prone Skin - Add 5-10 drops of tea tree oil, but this will reduce the lifespan of the product to 3-4 weeks

I hope many of you enjoy creating your own Primer Water. Comment down below if your skin type is not here and suggest what you did. Please become a follower of my blog, it is a free membership, no hidden charges!
