Hello Dolls and Gents,

Today, I am going to discuss the perfect foundation for oily skin dolls and gents, and that is the BECCA Ever Matte Shine Proof Foundation. This foundation was part of my old Color IQ number, which is #2R14. This is the last foundation that is a part of my old colour IQ. For now, all foundations will be matched to my new one and any foundations that I want to try out. Anyways, let's get back to what this post is about. I have been wanting to try out this foundation, for a while now. This foundation has been raved about among the oily skin beauty blogger community.

I matched to Cocoa in the BECCA Ever-Matte Shine Proof Foundation which is recommended is deep chocolate with neutral undertones.

BECCA EVER MATTE SHINE PROOF FOUNDATION

What it is:

A creamy, medium coverage foundation controls shine throughout the day and leaves an exceptionally smooth, matte finish.

What it does:

This long-wearing medium coverage foundation features a unique microfine powder that absorbs oil so your complexion remains fresh and shine free throughout the day. Created for combination to oily skin, this foundation minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines and creates a lasting soft-focus effect.

What else you need to know:

This product has been dermatologist tested and is formulated without oil, alcohol, and fragrance.

This foundation retails for $54 CAD for 1.35 oz.

Thoughts

I love this foundation. This is one of the foundations that I have tried so far, that actually controls my oils.  This foundation is a medium coverage, but it is definitely buildable. It also does not feel heavy on the face, when it is applied. I agree with what the foundation states that is it going to do. It actually helps control my oils a little longer than my other foundation, but at end of the day my nose will eat up the foundation and it will move around. My oils did not break through until I think after the 8th hour. I feel like this foundation would work amazing with the BECCA Matte primer. These two products would really help control the oils from my nose. I did not see that my pores and fine lines were minimized. When you applied this foundation, you get a soft airbrushed effect and it dries to a complete matte, as it stated in the title of the foundation. The consistency of this foundation is thick, but it is not heavy, it more like light whipped thick crème. A lot of people on the Sephora site, says that it oxidizes and blotchy on their skin. That did not happen to me, the foundation stayed the same colour as I applied until the end of the day. There was no blotchiness at the end of a day, but the foundation had also rubbed off on my nose because my nose is the oiliest part.

Verdict

Overall, I really love this foundation. It is the foundation is perfect for my skin type. I love that is not a full coverage foundation and it is geared toward combo and oily skin types, so it is made to help control oil. It does not heavy or drying on the skin, which is plus for a foundation that is matte. I would definitely be purchasing this foundation in the near future. I will try this foundation again, in a different shade and I will update you, on the colour shade.

P.S. I have tried my colour match for the new colour IQ #1R14 lets just say that I do not match to the shade Sienna at all, it is too light for my skin. So, Cocoa is a better match for my skin and undertone.

I hope you enjoyed my first impression on this foundation and I will see you in my next post. Don't forget to comment, share and follow my blog. It's free!

    1. Yes, it is expensive. You can try the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Foundation. It better for the wallet. :)
