Not Today Honey, Anti Haul | Beauty

by - 2:30 PM

Hi, Dolls and Gents

In today beauty world, we are constantly "buying, buying, buying" products that have very popular and recommended by Influencers. In the most recent months, anti-hauls have become widely popular. YouTuber Kimberly Clark is the one who started the movement on Anti-Haul and I applaud them. Not everyone has the means to spend on every beauty launch or most hyped products to buy. This is going to be a new series on my blog.

We are going to be discussing products that have been released or hyped about that I did not like for one reason or another. Some of the products are from brands that I really like what they release, but I have to honest to you all. If you like to know what products I have no interest in purchasing then keep on reading.

1 |KKW Beauty

There is so much hype about Kim Kardashian West contour powder and cream contour. I will say that I ain't spending my money on products that are most likely not going to match at all. Looking for the swatches and live demos, I have no interest in using her products. Another reason is the shipping to Canada is out of this world. By the time, I ordered and I receive it to my doorstep, I would have spent over $100.

2| Kylie Cosmetics

Okay, so I am not a fan of Kylie Jenner, so I slightly biases, but when I see a product that is not worth my interest I will let yall know.

But besides that, Kylie has not released any products that have peak my interest. She has released some beautiful colour that I like and love. But there have so many reviews about the inconsistency in her products as while as her customer service and that just turns me off from it. Before she changed the shipping free, it was I believe $20 to ship to Canada, but now it is free shipping over $60, I believe.

Nothing that she has released her birthday collection to holiday collection have ignited a spark. There are much better brands that release products and are more accessible to the Canadian consumers.

3| Jeffree Star Cosmetics

Let's just say I have my reason because I am a woman of colour. I can forgive, but I can't forget.

If you don't know Jeffree Star then you have been living under a rock. He is the bully in the online beauty community. I have not tried any his product and I plan to keep it that way. He has said many misogynistic and racist comments throughout the years and recently he has bullied his customers who have negative things to say about his products.

4|Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette

This palette has just been released from Huda Beauty and I have to say that is some beautiful colours in the palette, but the shade selection for me is personally not my colour choice. The Rose Gold Palette is more my speed.

5| Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

I would love to try this foundation just to say this is going to be an oily mess. But, thank god Canada has helped me there cause they don't sell my shade in Sephora. This foundation doesn't tickle my interest at all. It is just another foundation from a luxury brand that I would never buy from.

6| Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Why spend $30 on a mascara that is meant to add volume to your lashes when L'Oreal just released the dupe version, Lash Paradise. I always get mascara for the drugstore, I would never go high end.

7| Milk Blur Stick

Just watching the YouTubers use this product and when they zoom in and I see nothing. No difference in their face. I go to Sephora and swatch it and nothing changes. It would blur out my pores at all.

8| Ciate Glitter Flip

All, I can say is "HELL NAH". This is the tackiest looking thing ever. I honestly feel like it is something I would wear when I was younger, but I could not do the glitter lips now. I am also not a fan metallic lips, if not done right. This is perfect for Halloween.

9 | Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray

Ah, they rose from the dead. It is weird to see Gerrard Cosmetics start to have a reemergence in the beauty world and they are being sold mainstream retailers such as Urban Outfitters and Forever 21.

I am a fan of gossip YouTube channels because they have time to make up stuff. But, I can't forget what happened in the past with this company and how they spoke about a customer. If you don't know what I am talking about, a customer posted a review on a product from Gerard Cosmetics and a video was released of the owner of Gerard Cosmetics speaking negatively of the customer's review.

10 | NikkieTutorials X Ofra Cosmetics

Damn, can I just say NikkieTutorails is a talented makeup artist for her age, but her quality of makeup and past collab with Too Faced speaks volume? Her collab with Ofra is all about highlighters and all I can say is that I am not interest in spending my hard earned coins on it.

Nikkie released three shades highlights for three skin tones. Does the human race come in three shades: Light, Medium, and Deep. Secondly, why the hell is it so expensive.Like, it is $80. I rather buy something else than this. Lastly, the lip shades in her collab are weird colour options.

Also, NikkieTutorails chose better friends. My mom taught me chose my friends wisely because one day one of them can get me into trouble or change who I am. Well, Nikkie, you didn't choose your friends wisely, so you have to deal with the backlash that comes with it.
