Everyday Spring Foundation Routine | Makeup

Hi, Dolls and Gents

I wanted to share with you my current foundation routine for this spring. As I been focusing on my skin as of late, I wanted to see how I felt about setting my face far less and rocking a more natural finish look than a matte finish. I have been rocking this routine for a few weeks now and I always switched up my foundation but my process of application is the same. Just keep reading to see my current routine.

It is important to start off with your skincare routine. Your base will look a lot better and flawless when you take time into your skincare. I cleanse my face with the Ole Henriksen Find Your Control Cleanser, tone my face with The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution, and moisturizer with Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel.

Once I have my skincare done, I will allow my skincare to sink in my for about 10 - 15 minutes before I start my makeup application.

Now on to the makeup. Once my skincare has sunken into my skin after fifteen minutes. I prime my face with the Hourglass Mineral Primer or the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer. Once I have primed my face, I go in with a damp beauty blender and apply some of the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder in Medium Dark to the areas I applied the primer. This will set your primer and also create another barrier so your oils don’t come through.

For foundation, I usually chose a foundation with a more natural finish or natural matte finish. I apply MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NW55 with my beauty blender all over my face. I add my L.A. Girl Pro Concealer in Fawn under my eyes, bridge of nose, forehead, Cupid’s bow and chin. I blend out the concealer with my beauty blender. I set my concealer down  with the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder in Medium Dark with my beauty blender, but when I press the sponge in the powder I press it again on the back of my hand to take off the extra powder. This will allow me to have a more natural look. I do not set the rest of my face, just the places I get oily.

Now, I move on to highlight. Highlighting before blush gives me a more fresh natural look to the skin. For highlight, I used the Ruby Kisses All Over Bronzing Powder in Bronze Glow with my Real Techniques Fan brush. For blush, I used that ABH Blush Kit in Gradient. I use Chocolate and Vegas from the kit on a Jessup Blush brush to my cheeks. I apply my brush in an angle.

Once I finish this, I fill in my brows and apply mascara. I set my face with a setting, I use either Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray or NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray.

If you like that eye look in this routine. I will be posting a one palette tutorial using the ABH Soft Glam Palette.

Here is the end result of my foundation routine:

_______________

I hope you all enjoyed my spring foundation routine. I am happy that I starting to rock a more natural finish foundation and not setting my whole face. But don’t get me wrong, I love me a matte finish look. This is different for me and I seem to love to look at this. I get a lot of compliments when I do this routine because my skin looks flawless, both makeup and skincare. I will be posting the eye look from this look, so be on a lookout for that. I also have a review coming your way. Don’t forget to comment, share and follow my blog. I will see you in the next one.
