Hi, Dolls and Gents

Today, I am going to talking about how I pack my suitcase when I am going on a trip. I am going to New York this week and I wanted to share how I packed my bag and how I make sure that I not overpacking. I will share some tips I do prior before and how I pack a suitcase. If you like to know more than keep on reading.

Prior to Packing Suitcase

I before I started packing for a trip. I look at the typical weather of the place that I am going to. This will help figure out what I want to wear and how to make outfits accordingly. For New York, the weather pretty similar to the weather here in Toronto. Knowing that I work with the monthly high and low temperature. Once I do this I basically ready to create outfits.

Moving into clothing. Once I check the weather, I start to think of cute outfits I would like to wear. Sometimes, I search on Pinterest for outfits inspiration. I want to step out of my fashion comfortable that I wouldn’t find myself wearing. New York is about high street fashion, but I also want to be comfortable and cute. I break down the days that I am there and I try to reuse bottoms, not so many tops because of it hot and that is not ideal. I include my travel outfit which is the same I am going and coming back because I am not going to wear it that long.  For my weekend outfits, I also have evening outfits, just in case I go to bar or clubbing. Now, that I have my outfits done. I make sure that I write them on my phone, so I know or you can take photos of your outfits.

Packing the Suitcase

I am the person who will overpack, so using packing cube allows to bring what I need and not overpacked. It also helps me keep my suitcase organized. I got these packing cubes for Winners for $20. The largest one holds my bottoms, outerwear and dresses. The medium one holds my tops, skirts, and pjs. The smaller one holds my bras and underwear. I also got another packing cube to place my hair tools and products. The rectangle packaging cube n the mesh area will hold my straightener, gel, edges brush, hair clips and comb.

The suitcase is a medium size, I believe 26 inches is the check-in size. One side has mesh zip up and the other side doesn’t. My packaging cube goes on the side with no mesh. I place all three packing cube in, like so. On the other side with the mesh cover, I put my makeup bag, small handbag, and my heels -better to use a shoe bag or something to protect your shoes.

Now that I have done all of these, my suitcase is ready and all packed. Now, moving into my carry-on, which will be in the next post.

I hope you enjoyed this packing post about how I pack my suitcase for trips. Don’t forget to comment, share and follow my blog.  I will see you guys in my next post.
